Big Sister/Little Sister

Brynn:
-Practicing writing numbers, letters, and words more and more, especially her name
-Draws pictures for us all the time
-Loves to make us "valentines": she'll draw a heart, cut the heart out, then write Mommy, Daddy, or her own name on it and give it to us
-Favorite show right now is America's Funniest Home Videos
-Loves to play iPad games after lunch/before nap time, but she has to clean up her toys first

Adrienne:
 -Talking more and more!  She saw Ben washing is face the other night and said, "What's wrong, Daddy?  What's wrong?"  (I think she thought he was crying!)
-She started calling me Mommy full time this month!  Bye bye, Bobby! ;)
-Does NOT like to be told no, and lets you know it (throws her arms up, dramatically falls to the floor, kicks, screams, etc.) Even if you tell her no nicely, it doesn't work!  We've learned to very carefully lay her on a soft surface until the tantrum passes.
-Constantly asking "What's that?! What's that?!"

We forced her to start wearing barrettes to keep her hair out of her face.  They stay in about 50% of the time!

Fourth of July:
My parents stopped in town for The Fourth on their way home from their trip Gettysburg this year!  The last time they were here for 4th of July was when Adrienne was just a few days old, so this was a much different experience.  Both girls kept Grandma and Grandpa very busy this year!

Hanging out in the shady garage!  I posted this same photo on Facebook and many friends and coworkers made fun of Ben for wearing sandals with socks!  (I did too)  He was a good sport about it though.  In his defense the sandals were his closest shoes on his way out the front door.  He's all about convenience!

Other: 
We took a trip up to Canton, OH to visit our friends Paul and Lynsey and their baby, Easton!  (Paul and Ben went to Purdue together) We had a picnic lunch at the park and played on the nice playground.  I had the video camera with me, but only caught video of Adrienne running away from the camera the whole time ;)  It's been wonderful keeping in touch with them over the years and traveling back and forth to each others' houses and are looking forward to many more visits.  Brynn has already asked to go back to this specific playground, so I'm sure it won't be long!
