Brynn:
-Very happy to be back at school. There was a practice day before school started where the parents go with the kids. After that, she made it very clear that she didn't want me to go to school with her anymore and that I need to just drop her off and go home. She has the same teacher this year and many of the same classmates.
-Dress up clothes are a very big deal right now. Brynn's been reminding us on a daily basis that she would like a Cinderella gown and that, "It's at Target."
-The movies we've been watching over and over right now are Cinderella, Lion King, and LeapFrog DVD's. I think we've watched each about 15-20 times this past month. I wish I was exaggerating.
-Has very much become a drama queen. She got a paper cut the other day and you would have thought she broke her whole arm.
-She will also randomly recite excerpts and reenact scenes from her favorite movies.
First Day!
Brynn and her teacher, Mrs. Palarino.
Bedtime stories with Daddy.
This was our tallest tower yet!
Adrienne:
-While going to sleep at nap time I tell her to say goodnight to Brynn and she's been saying, "Night night X-Box! Night night TV!" and completely skips over her sister! We know what Adrienne thinks is important ;)
-She is great at cleaning up toys when we ask her to
-Still our little dancer! She'll dance to anything!
-Definitely handled getting her flu shot better than B.
Adrienne's favorite activity- watching TV
Checking out the elephants!
Cheese!
Ohio Visit:
Our good friends, Chris and Julie, got married over Labor Day weekend in OH which brought us home for a long weekend! Saw many good friends we haven't seen in awhile, so it was a wonderful trip. Ben and I got some much needed time by ourselves to go shopping and finally celebrate our anniversary. It's so nice when we're home to have our parents help out with the girls!
We actually got to dress up and go out without our precious A&B!
After party with the happy couple
Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson!
Erie Visit:
With LeAnn and Barrett's busy Navy schedules, we were actually able to find one weekend where the whole Darland gang could meet in Erie. We haven't all been together since last Thanksgiving and it looks like the next time we will be together is for LeAnn and Barrett's wedding next year!
B absolutely adores her baby cousin
Me and John watching the cornhole tournament
Somehow we managed to get this great family photo where (almost) everyone was smiling and looking at the camera!
Ben and I got married in the summer of 2005 when we moved from Ohio and started our life together in South Carolina. We have since moved on to the Pittsburgh area. Brynn joined us in June 2008 and we added Adrienne to our family in June 2010. I am living my dream as a stay-at-home mom and Ben is an engineer.
