September Video and Pictures!

 You can always tell how busy we were based on how many pictures are on here.  We were very busy this past month!

Back to School!

Adrienne had regrets over her choice of dessert.  She said she wanted just chocolate and NOT a s'more.  She was not happy when Brynn received her s'more.

Brynn:

Right now she wants to be a baker when she grows up!

In the name of fire safety, she FINALLY let me put ponytails in her hair!  We were going to a friend's house for a fire pit night.

I asked her to take a potty break.

We've been trying to have as many picnic lunches as possible before the cold weather comes in!

She said she was tired and wanted to take a nap...

Mommom came to dance class while she was in town!  Adrienne originally told me she didn't want to do dance class, but after seeing big sister go to hers, she needed to sign up again too.

Family Field Trip to Laurel Caverns:  We got permission from the school to take Brynn on an educational field trip.  Brynn has become interested in caves recently and even watched a couple documentaries, so we started researching and found the Laurel Caverns, about an hour away.  We are so happy we went on a weekday. No one else was there and we were able to take our time and have a private guided tour with just the four of us.  So much fun!

I thought Brynn would be asleep too, but she was just quietly looking out the window!

Landscaping:  We were not planning on doing any landscaping projects until next spring, but in true Ben and Em fashion, one thing led to another and Phase 1 of our outdoor projects is complete!  We wanted to take advantage of the cooler weather and you always hear fall is the best time to plant trees and shrubs :)

AFTER: front - We replaced all of the black mulch with the same landscaping stone that we used (and still love) from our old house.  We never want to deal with mulch again! ;)

AFTER: front corner - We expanded the flower bed to make it bigger and a better shape.  We chose a different tree than the one that was provided.

AFTER: back corner - planted all new shrubs and a couple of trees.

And Ben also felt the need to plant some blueberry bushes :)  It should take a couple of years before any fruit will grow though!
