July Videos and Pictures!

Young Living International Grand Convention in Salt Lake City:  I had the amazing opportunity to travel to SLC (along with 40,000+ others!) to experience why I chose to align myself with this company in person.  This year is their 25th Anniversary and they went all out!  Here is just a snapshot of what my week was like :)

My 3-1-1 carry on bag looks a little different than it used to.  I chose a lot of my favorite, commonly used oils/blends, and our own hand sanitizer and Thieves spray to always have on hand!

Very early AM mimosas before our flight.

We were so lucky to get a nonstop flight on our way to Utah!

Believe it or not, Amber and I met in person for the very first time at the airport, then traveled and spent the whole week together!  These businesses are funny like that... you get to know people and make plenty of friends all online, then finally get the opportunity to meet them in person at these events!

Figuring out the public transportation system in Salt Lake.  This was all put in when they hosted the Olympics years ago!

Our view from our hotel room!  Mountain views everywhere you looked!

This was the Salt Palace Convention center where much of our day to day activities took place.  So nice that our hotel was this close!

Registration Line on the first day!

Lobby

They gave us a free Savvy Minerals lipstick from our makeup line and we helped break a Guinness Book world record while we were there:  most kisses on a mural!  woohoo! lol

Salt Palace

Our large evening meetings took place across town at the University's stadium.  Again, the mountain views were everywhere you looked!

Night view

Know what's in your body, bath, and beauty products.  It's amazing what has been permitted to sold on the shelves of our stores for years.  Our makeup line now bans 2500 ingredients that have no business being in makeup in the first place.

Amber and I put ourselves to work at our favorite coffee shop, Cupla, while we were waiting for breakfast!  Stamping their logo on their cups for them.

Checking out the Distillery at the Young Living Lavender Farm in Mona, Utah!  A quick hour drive from Salt Lake.

They were distilling "Blue Yarrow" oil while we were there.

NingXia Red slushies everyday!!  NingXia Red is a supplement drink that I have 1-2 oz. of daily at home for overall health and wellness.  The research behind it is incredible.  I read a book about the NingXia wolfberry and specifically why they chose the NingXia part of China as the location to get our berries from and was blown away by the health benefits.  It's been a part of my daily routine since then and it was so fun to have it in slushy form in the HOT Utah weather!

Another fun thing we got to do was be a part of our Seed to Seal promise in person.  While most companies hide what goes on behind the scenes, Young Living actually wants you to visit and be a part of the process.  They are an open book.

I got to plant a Clary Sage seedling at the farm, which will one day be distilled there right on sight and be turned into our Clary Sage essential oil!

One of the lavender fields

We also got to tour the warehouse!!  Our oils are bottled, packed, and shipped from here.  More importantly, there are numerous labs onsite to test, test, and test our products some more to make sure they remain the best of the best.

The brand new headquarters

Recovering at the end of a very long day!

A fun thing:  one of my YL friends married someone Ben and I graduated high school with and he tagged along for the trip!  So fun to catch up!

Amber and I got to go to a fun FRIENDS themed pizza party!

So of course we had shirts.

Pics are out of order, but we heard it's good luck to jump in the lavender fields at the farm!

Young Living hosted a private Imagine Dragons concert for us!

We loved our seats!

These scooters were everywhere!  No, I didn't actually ride one.  I would have injured myself.

On our way to the lavender fields.

Inside Club Red

This backdrop was set up inside the Savvy Minerals area at the big Expo.

Got to meet the queen of essential oils herself, Dr. Lindsey Elmore.  She's a Young Living Ambassador and pharmacist, so she's extremely knowledgable and knows all the science behind why/how our oils work.

View from the farm

Some of you may have heard our final flight home got cancelled.  We were bummed not to be headed home, but lucky for us, Chris (Ben's brother) and Audrey live right outside of Chicago where we were stuck!  They rescued us from the airport, treated us to dinner, provided a comfy guest room for the evening, and drove us super early to the airport the next morning.  We are so grateful for them and our unexpected visit!  John and Ellie (my niece and nephew) were so excited and said it was "the best day of their lives!" lol  I'm sure Gwen would have said the same thing if she was able to speak in full sentences ;)

Ben, A, & B's OH Trip:  While I was off in Salt Lake, Ben and the girls traveled to OH to spend the week with our parents!
More trips to Kings Island, but the weather wasn't always cooperating!

Adrienne patiently waiting for a pretzel.

A friend I grew up with ran into my family and caught this picture at KI :)

KI with Grandma and Grandpa too!

Picnic stop on their way back home.
4th of July Riley Visit:
Gunther was checking out Grandpa's snack.

Setting up shop

Our annual homemade ice cream pic!

Our very first B and Grandpa ice cream photo to compare

It would help if you put the paddle whipper thing in like you are supposed to at the beginning.  LOL, We were still able to salvage this batch.  We've never messed that up before!

Cousin play time

We always have tons of fireworks in the neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods that we don't have to leave home!

Rainy morning on the 5th

Darland Visit:
We tried to keep Gunther out of the office to help with Barrett's cat allergies, and Gunther was not happy.  He tried to get in there every chance he got!

We were able to sample the latest addition to LeAnn's beer company: Raspberry Crush Gose!

This picture cracks me up... Ben was playing with the drone and was the only one who knew a picture was actually being taken!

Much better!

First fire in a long time!  The weather was perfect!

Brynn and Adrienne:
Walked in to everyone playing toys!

They've been my shopping buddies all summer!

They have had a few sleepovers in each other's rooms over the summer!

Brynn:
Gunther fell sleep on her!

Showing off her first homemade smoothie bowl!

Brynn got to go on a camping weekend trip with her friend!  We got updates all weekend long saying how much fun they were having!  We were told this was more of a "glamping" trip than actual camping ;)

On the drive home with their dogs!

Adrienne:
Adrienne and Dad nature walk!

Ben and Em:
We had plans to go to one of our favorite restaurants this night, but the weather kept us much closer to home.

We still had a fun night though!

Ben was putting the final top coat on some finished game pieces he painted!

Celebrating Jen's birthday!

We HAD to go out this night because it was one of the few times this summer that we were all actually in town at the same time!

Ben's airbrushing set up!

Gunther:
Taking a nap on top of the fridge.

I was organizing things in the cabinet and he was trying to get a much better view lol

We celebrated Gunther's 2nd Birthday on the 10th!

I assure you he loved his "cake."

Helping me fold, as always.

He's in the way of me vacuuming 99% of the time.

Other Young Living:
This combo has been a summer favorite!
