We've been keeping really busy this past week, I didn't even get a chance to write about my first Mother's Day! I hope you enjoyed the video that Ben put together, though;) My Mother's Day morning started off with Brynn hand delivering a card, which was the cutest thing ever. Then we got ready to go to our neighborhood pool for her first time swimming! She loved the pool, which was really no surprise since she enjoys splashing around at bath time so much. After lunch and a nap, Ben took me out for ice cream which was the perfect ending to Mother's Day! (Brynn update: She started "normal" crawling May 8! She hasn't done the worm since then!)
Last week, Ben had a 2-day trip to Pennsylvania for work to begin the relocation process to the Pittsburgh area. We haven't said much about this yet because we don't know many specifics, but with Ben completing this trip, it's more official now. The company he works for has locations in Charleston, Pittsburgh and Idaho. There is absolutely no way we would move to Idaho, but PA is close enough to OH. Right now it's looking like we could be moving anywhere from July-October, but we'll hopefully know more later this week. We absolutely love Charleston, especially the warmer winters, but miss being closer to family and friends. After we move, our drive time home will be cut down to less than half!
Brynn and I were home alone for the first time for those two days. It went very smoothly. Just did our normal routine except without Daddy here. My friend, Ali (my old boss), even came to visit the first night. It's really hard to believe that it's been a year and a half since we worked together! One good thing about where we are moving to is that Ali's parents live very close to the area, so we'll still get to see each other when she's visiting PA.
Another thing I did this past week was get Brynn's invitations printed for her first birthday party! That's right, our little baby is going to be ONE in less than a month! We can't believe it! Everyone says time flies when you have kids, but I had no idea! It feels like she has been in our lives forever, but just a year ago, I was still pregnant (also hard to believe!) We can't wait to go home to Ohio in a month to celebrate!
