End of May

We have now received word from Ben's company and his official start date in Pennsylvania is September 1. That means we will be moving in less than three months! Now that he has this transfer date that we have been waiting on, things will start moving quickly over the summer. We have much going on in between now and then: traveling to OH in a couple weeks for Brynn's first birthday, a mini-vacation to Hilton Head in July, a house hunting trip somewhere in there, putting the house on the market (wish us luck!), and the usual packing and getting prepared. I have been cleaning and organizing like a crazy woman these past few weeks. We have gone through every shelf, closet, drawer, etc. in the whole house and have either thrown away, gotten rid of, or reorganized EVERYTHING!

Mmmm, desserts! That's my girl!

My parents, Nate(my brother), and Angie(my sister-in-law) came down to visit this past weekend and we had so much fun! Nate and Angie had never been to Charleston before and got to do some sightseeing with Mom and Dad. They got to tour the historic Drayton Hall plantation, go on a ghost tour, and walk around downtown. Brynn loved playing with her Uncle Nate and Aunt Angie.

The main reason for their visit was to babysit Brynn while Ben and I got to go to our friends, Krissy and Jordon's, wedding. Anyone who I would trust watching Brynn was attending the same wedding and I knew they wouldn't mind coming down again to see her even though they were just here a month ago;) We were so excited to get dressed up and go out for the evening. The wedding was at a church downtown and it was beautiful. When it came time to go to the reception, we walked back to our car, and the car wouldn't start. We tried jumping it, and it still wouldn't start. Ben called AAA, who told them it would be 45 minutes and we had to be there when they arrived. To make a long story short, when all was said and done, it was 8:30, which was the time I had planned to leave the reception to get home and put Brynn to bed, so we didn't even get to go to the reception for our big night out. I was mad and upset at the situation, mostly thinking about how we'll be moving soon. Ben's work friends are all on rotating shifts and it's rare that almost everyone can attend the same event. Anyways, this is just going to be an excuse to get everyone together soon!
