It's Been Awhile...

As always, so much has happened since the last time we've written. Hopefully you've been entertained with Brynn's videos in between entries though! I just had to look at our last written update to see what it even said and it had talked about Brynn almost walking. She is definitely a walker now! She even knows how to walk quietly to escape from us and usually ends up in her room to read. She'll pull almost every book off the shelf if you give her a few minutes alone!

It's been a few weeks ago now, but we had a wonderful time in Hilton Head with Debbie and Cleon. I'm really going to miss the two hour drive that it takes to get down there now when we move, but it will just be an excuse to make an extended vacation out of it next summer. This was actually Brynn's third trip to Hilton Head. She has become quite the traveler for a one year old! She got to go once when she was just two weeks old, and then again when she was two months old. We kept comparing this year to last year and were really noticing how much she's grown up and seeing everything she's accomplished this past year. We are so proud of our little girl! Last year we could barely get her to stay awake (or get her to smile!) when we were taking our family pictures!

Our house hunting trip to Pittsburgh was a success! Ben and I are very decisive when it comes to this kind of stuff and we knew we wanted to be under contract before we left PA so we could start the process and sign everything in person. We absolutely love our new house and it will make moving from Charleston a little easier.

We are going to be very busy the next few weeks before the move and I know it's really going to fly by. It's finally starting to hit me that we are leaving Charleston. Anyone who's been here knows that it is the most beautiful city. Mine and Ben's 4-year wedding anniversary is in a couple of weeks which of course means our 4-year anniversary of moving down here is coming up a few days after that. We really can not believe we have been down here for four years! I remember how scared I was to leave my 23-year-old roots in Mason, but having done that, now I could move anywhere!

Brynn Updates:
-She can stand up on her own now without pulling up on anything
-She's been taking much longer naps everyday (1 hr.-1 hr. 45 min.)
-She was officially weaned on her 13-month birthday
-After a week transition of Ben putting her to bed after weaning, she's been putting herself to bed without a fuss.
-She loves sleeping and cuddling with her pink puppy
